About Michael

A Pennsylvania native, Michael has spent most of his career developing his craft in the “DMV” – DC, Maryland, Virginia metro as a Creative Director/Art Director. Michael has worked with an eclectic mix of agencies and entertainment brands, including Discovery Channel, National Geographic, and History Channel, before moving to the South in 2012; a sampling of my Creative Folio and more here at HrizukCreative.com

Now based in the South, where he works with 9Rooftops Marketing (Folio Sample), formally BFG Communications, as both a creative director and the lead photographer, he’s continuing to lead by example and execute photos and videos for US and international clients.

With over 20 years of experience in branding and marketing, he’s executed photography and produced campaigns for the entertainment industry, outdoor lifestyle brands, food & beverage groups, and the hospitality, travel & leisure industries.

Michael’s award-winning work has enabled him to collaborate with the world’s biggest brands on both sides of the lens. As the driving creative force behind award-winning work for brands including Discovery, Nat Geo, Filson, Simpson Motorsports, GE, South Carolina Tourism, and more, his approach is best described as holistic. Inclusive and always research-driven, Michael challenges the possibilities of the creative ask while never losing sight of the client's needs. 

Michael earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Kutztown University and when he wasn’t in class or working 3 jobs, YES 3 jobs he would still find time to pursue his passion for fishing. Even now when he’s not in the studio or on assignment you’ll find him walking a stream hunting for native rainbows with a cigar in hand. Fly Fishing is his time to focus on only one thing, trophies. Tying flies and building rods he brings his love for the sport full circle, make it, use it, catch & release it, and repeat.
